General Terms and Conditions SalzburgerLand Card (EN)
Definition
The SalzburgerLand Card, hereinafter referred to as the “SL Card,” is an all-inclusive tourist card offered by SalzburgerLand Tourismus Ges.m.b.H. Upon purchase for a one-time fee, it entitles the holder to access the services of SL Card partner companies. These services are defined in the agreements with participating service partners and described in the SL Card brochure, which is published biennially.
Scope of Services
All SL Card partner companies have agreed to provide holders of a valid SL Card with unlimited access—both in time and quantity—to their SL Card services during the validity period, within their normal business hours and in accordance with their general terms and conditions of carriage or service. Any partner companies that operate under special conditions will define the scope of their services in the SL Card brochure. SalzburgerLand Tourismus Ges.m.b.H. assumes no liability for services provided by SL Card partner companies.
Toll Roads
For toll-based mountain or panoramic roads operated by SL Card partner companies, every individual in the vehicle must hold a valid SL Card. Otherwise, a proportional road toll will be charged.
Validity
The SL Card is personal, non-transferable, and valid from May 1 to November 9, 2025. SL Cards are only valid in combination with a current photo ID. All service partners reserve the right to verify identification on-site.
Card Types
The SL Card is available for 6 or 12 days, and for either children or adults. The validity period (6 or 12 days) begins on the first day of use.
Prices
In 2025, the SL Card will be available at the following prices including VAT:
- Adults (Card Type E): EUR 124.00 for 12 days / EUR 99.00 for 6 days
- Children (Card Type K): EUR 62.00 for 12 days / EUR 50.00 for 6 days
Children´s Discount
The children’s rate applies from the 4th birthday up to the 16th birthday. The applicable age is determined at the start of travel. From the third child onward in a family (aged 4 to 15), the SL Card is free of charge. Free SL Cards (Card Type F) will be issued from the third child onward. No cards are issued for children under 4 years of age, and they do not require one.
Important: At certain partner locations, children under 4 years or children without an SL Card may be required to pay the applicable local fee. SalzburgerLand Tourismus Ges.m.b.H. does not provide any legal entitlement to reimbursement.
The family regulation applies to children who acquire an SL Card together with at least one adult with whom they have a familial relationship or who is their legal guardian.
Point of Sale
The SL Card is available digitally via the SalzburgerLand Tourismus Ges.m.b.H. website from late April to early November. Additional authorized points of sale include selected tourist associations, hotels, service partners, and other businesses within the SalzburgerLand region.
Usage
At service locations equipped with electronic readers, the SL Card must be scanned and registered. When using public buses operated by Salzburger Verkehrsbetriebe within the city of Salzburg, under the terms of the integrated 24-hour Salzburg Card, the SL Card must be shown during ticket inspections. For physical SL Cards, the date and time of first use within the city must be clearly entered in the designated field.
Misuse
Any misuse of the SL Card, especially use by unauthorized individuals, will result in the card being revoked without compensation and its validity being terminated.
Loss
In the event of loss or theft, SalzburgerLand Tourismus Ges.m.b.H. assumes no liability. No replacement card will be issued and the purchase price will not be refunded.
Exchange or Returns
Please note that exchanges or returns of purchased SL Cards, including cancellations free of charge, are generally excluded.
Service Partner Closures
No refunds will be provided for temporary closures of service partners during the SL Card season.
Liability
SL Card service partners operate independently and on their own legal responsibility. Any liability for incidents occurring at or in connection with a service partner’s premises or services—whether based on contractual or legal grounds—lies solely with the respective service partner involved. Neither SalzburgerLand Tourismus Ges.m.b.H. nor the other service partners shall be held liable.
Illness or Accident
There is no legal entitlement to a refund in the event of accident or illness.
